Alembic Lands $14M for AI Marketing Tools, Backed by Jeffrey Katzenberg’s WndrCo Amid Rising Fortune 500 Demand

Alembic, a startup that applies contact tracing methods from the pandemic to marketing analysis, has raised $14 million in a Series A round led by Jeffrey Katzenberg’s WndrCo.

The investment reflects the high demand among Fortune 500 CMOs for AI tools that can accurately evaluate the ROI of marketing across digital channels. Alembic’s platform links marketing efforts to sales, using pandemic-inspired analytics for real-time data tracing across various media, offering faster and more precise insights than traditional methods.

On the funding, WndrCo partner Justin Wexler, said: “We consistently inquire with Fortune 500 CMOs about their primary challenges. The most common response revolves around demonstrating the effectiveness of marketing expenditure. It’s ingrained in WndrCo’s ethos to bridge innovative technology with the progressive strategies of CMOs.”

Tomas Puig, meanwhile, founder and CEO of Alembic, had this to say: “What we do is predict where the connections will occur [using] enormous amounts of data. People call me the nerdiest CMO they ever met. These problems are just as hard as any of the giant data problems anyone else is tackling, maybe even more so because it’s at the intersection of both art and science.”
