Codified, incubated at Madrona Venture Labs and founded by Yatharth Gupta, has raised $4 million in seed funding from Madrona Ventures, Vine Ventures, Soma Capital, and notable angel investors for its Generative AI data governance platform.
“Customers are spending months implementing data governance solutions, and this needs to change. With Codified, customers will be able to save time and money while significantly improving their security posture,” said Gupta.
The investment will fuel team expansion, fast-track product development, and support a market debut planned for 2024. With Databricks’ CEO Ali Ghodsi and Okta’s Arnab Bose advising, Codified aims to simplify data governance with an AI solution that enables policy creation in natural language, enhancing data security and compliance.
