At the upcoming Build conference, Microsoft is set to introduce new artificial intelligence (AI) features for PCs and cloud applications. CEO Satya Nadella’s vision for 2024 as the year AI becomes integral to every PC is taking shape, with the conference agenda underscoring this focus. New AI tools aimed at developers will be showcased, driven by Microsoft’s success with AI in Azure cloud services. Mustafa Suleyman, recently appointed head of Microsoft AI, will join Nadella in highlighting these innovations.
The conference will feature discussions on an Advanced Paste utility leveraging AI without cloud dependency, and new Windows functionalities for enhanced digital interaction. Microsoft’s latest Surface PCs, equipped with a Copilot button for easy chatbot access and Intel processors, align with efforts to optimize Windows experiences through advanced AI capabilities, including support for Arm-based neural processing units (NPUs).
Additionally, Microsoft will update developers on AI safety enhancements in Azure AI Studio and improvements to the Azure-accessible Copilot chatbot, emphasizing user-friendliness and security in AI applications.
