Paris-Based Startup H Secures $220M Seed Round Shortly After Launch

Paris-based startup H, formerly known as Holistic AI, has raised $220 million in a seed round just months after its inception. The impressive funding is attributed to its focus on developing new AI models and its notable founding team. Co-founder and CEO Charles Kantor was a university researcher at Stanford, while the four other co-founders, Karl Tuyls, Laurent Sifre, Daan Wierstra, and Julien Perolat, all previously worked at DeepMind, the AI company owned by Google.

H aims to create AI agents, automated systems that can perform tasks traditionally done by humans. Their goal is to enhance worker productivity through advanced action models.

The investment round includes contributions from billionaires like Eric Schmidt, Xavier Niel, Yuri Milner, and Bernard Arnault, as well as VC funds such as Accel, Bpifrance’s Large Venture fund, Creandum, Elaia Partners, Eurazeo, FirstMark Capital, and Visionaries Club. Industrial investors include Amazon, Samsung, and UiPath, which will assist H with commercialization and partnerships.
