Bright Machines Raises $106M in Series C Funding from NVIDIA, Microsoft & Other Players

San Francisco-based startup Bright Machines has secured $106 million in Series C funding from investors including NVIDIA, Microsoft, Eclipse Ventures, Jabil, and BlackRock, with an additional $20 million in debt from J.P. Morgan.

Bright Machines develops equipment and software that automate manufacturing tasks using artificial intelligence and machine learning. Their technology aims to allow engineers to design products and have robotic systems manufacture them remotely. This capability significantly enhances the efficiency of constructing AI server hardware and other electronics like mobile phones, reducing build times by replacing manual labor with automated processes.

Bright Machines intends to allocate most of its newly raised funds to its engineering projects, focusing on robotics, computer vision, and other automation challenges, according to CEO Lior Susan.

The cash will help introduce “a faster and better version of our platform,” Susan said.

Susan mentioned that if Bright Machines could provide NVIDIA with a faster way to introduce a new product by a month, it would be worth billions of dollars in the AI sector. He also noted that building AI servers is a rapidly growing market for Bright Machines, with the company experiencing an “insane amount of demand.”
