Enso, co-founded by Mickey Haslavsky of RapidAPI fame, has raised $6 million in seed funding to provide preprogrammed AI agents to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). These AI agents are designed to handle repetitive tasks, making automation more accessible without the complexity of building custom solutions.
The funding round, led by NFX with contributions from angel investors including Yossi Matias of Google Research and Shmil Levy of Sequoia Capital, will help Enso expand its offerings. The company provides over 1,000 industry-specific bots for various tasks, such as managing SEO, engaging on social media, tracking competitors, writing newsletters, managing invoices, and optimizing Amazon stores.
Haslavsky’s inspiration for Enso came from his parents’ small business experiences.
“When I started getting into this AI agent space, I realized that, one, if that works, it can bridge the gap [between small and large businesses] because it can give services to smaller businesses on top of other software, and that’s where the integrations come in,” he said in an interview with TechCrunch recently.
Enso’s approach combines workflow automation with the creativity of large language models (LLMs), offering a practical solution for SMBs. Their AI agents are available on a subscription basis, ranging from $29 to $79 per month, making it cost-effective for businesses to adopt AI-driven automation.
NFX partner Gigi Levy-Weiss commented: “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, yet they have passed by the AI revolution. Enso is democratizing AI by providing access and scalability to SMBs, transforming the business landscape and empowering traditional businesses to thrive.”
The seed funding will enable Enso to further develop its AI capabilities and support network, driving productivity and efficiency for SMBs.
