Voice-First GenAI Startup Gnani Raises $4M in Funding from Info Edge Ventures for Global Expansion

Gnani AI, a Bengaluru-based voice-first generative AI startup, has secured $4 million (Rs 30 crore) in funding from Info Edge Ventures. The funds will support the company’s sales growth and global expansion.

Founded in 2016 by Gopalan and Ananth Nagaraj, Gnani offers a no-code platform with features like conversational automation, agent assistance, voice biometrics, and analytics, primarily serving the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors.

Words from those involved in the funding round:

“We already have over 100 customers in India and the US. Our primary focus remains on these two regions. We are expanding into other geographies, mainly through partnerships.

These geographies include the Middle East and Europe.

We are also present among the top OEMs in the automotive, and telecom as well as in other sectors.

In the last three years, we have grown by more than 2x and have done so profitably. We expect to continue growing our revenue by at least 2–3x in the next two years and expand our customer base in both India and the US.”

— Ganesh Gopalan, Cofounder and Chief Executive of Gnani AI

“We are excited to invest in Gnani.ai. It is a company that exemplifies our investment thesis for AI. We like to invest in founders who are building to solve a problem and not just to find a use case for AI.”

— Chinmaya Sharma, partner at Info Edge Ventures
