Reactive Robotics, a Germany-based healthcare startup focused on AI-driven robotic mobilization, has raised €5 million in additional funding. The investment was led by Dr. Doll, TQ-Group, Henrik Schunk, Stephan Huber, and the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund. This follows a €2.5 million EIC grant in 2023 to boost research and development.
The new funds will further develop Reactive Robotics’ VEMOTION system, integrating AI to better assist caregivers, therapists, and physicians. The company plans to expand its global presence, making its technology more accessible to hospitals worldwide.
CEO Brigitte Schrätzenstaller noted that the funding will help the company improve patient care and reduce the burden on medical staff. Since its founding in 2015, Reactive Robotics has mobilised over 5,000 critically ill patients, using VEMOTION to aid recovery while alleviating strain on healthcare workers.
