Series Entertainment, a game studio startup, secured $28 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round, as confirmed by SEC filings and the company. Key investors include Netflix, Dell Technologies Capital, along with continued support from seed investors Andreessen Horowitz, BITKRAFT, and F4 Fund. This follows the company’s $7.9 million seed round led by a16z just a year ago.
Pitchbook estimates the Series A valued Series at around $190 million, although the company declined to confirm this figure. The new funds will help Series continue its mission to revolutionize game development with generative AI through its Rho Engine, an AI-native full-stack platform aimed at speeding up the game creation process. CEO Pany Haritatos expressed excitement about raising $28 million in a challenging funding environment, attributing the success to strong backing from major gaming investors.
