Budy.bot, an AI sales and marketing assistant, has raised $4.2 million in pre-seed funding led by RTP Global, with support from BeeNext, The Neon Fund, BITS SPARK Angels, and 15+ angel investors. This will help simplify complex software stacks.
Founded by Samay Kohli, who previously founded GreyOrange, Budy.bot focuses on simplifying the deployment and management of sales and marketing software stacks for enterprises. Kohli explained that many growth-stage companies rely on an overwhelming number of apps — between 100 and 150 — to manage their sales and marketing operations, creating unnecessary complexity. He shared his motivation, stating that his previous experience scaling go-to-market strategies from $0 to $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) highlighted the need for a more streamlined approach.
Budy.bot is designed to help companies with annual revenues between $25 million and $200 million, particularly those struggling to implement essential systems like forecasting or improving sales processes during rapid growth. Kohli described Budy.bot’s AI-driven solution as automating tasks typically performed by human consultants, enabling them to focus on strategic aspects of business improvement.
“The heavy lifting of all the tasks — from setting up systems to logging in and copying data — can be done with the AI agent,” Kohli noted, adding that Budy.bot is focused on enhancing the tools available to its AI agents, particularly within Salesforce. Currently, the platform is working with enterprise clients, including a SaaS company with $12–13 million in ARR and another with $35 million ARR, to address issues such as resetting Salesforce configurations, improving lead conversion, and refining revenue forecasting.
Nishit Garg, Partner at RTP Global, said: “This investment aligns perfectly with our focus on backing visionary founders in transformative sectors like AI. We believe supporting bold ideas early is crucial for driving innovation.”
With the new funding, Budy.bot aims to continue developing its AI capabilities and expand its platform’s reach to more industries.
