Averi AI Emerges with $2M Pre-Seed Funding to Streamline Marketing with Gen AI & Human Expertise

Averi AI, a marketing-focused AI startup, has officially launched from stealth mode with a $2 million pre-seed funding round. The round, led by Right Side Capital Management and Singularity Capital, also saw participation from Riverside Ventures, Integral, and angel investors, including Duncan Andelnour, founder of Crowdpass and Crowdsync. This initial investment brings Averi to an $8 million valuation as it accelerates development of its platform, which merges generative AI with human expertise to tackle repetitive marketing tasks.

Founded in early 2024, Averi’s AI-driven platform automates marketing activities such as planning calendars, competitor analysis, and budgeting, while also providing clients access to a network of 3,000 vetted U.S.-based marketing professionals. These freelancers bring expertise in public relations, ad channel management, SEO, UX/UI, go-to-market strategies, event planning, and more, helping brands like Nike, Superhuman, Wispr AI, and Iris.TV enhance productivity.

Co-founder and CEO Zack Holland noted that Averi’s approach fills a gap between AI capabilities and human insight, commenting that people do not yet fully trust AI answers, which creates challenges for adoption. He further observed that many AI tools function in isolation, lacking the collaborative component essential for complex marketing initiatives. According to Holland, Averi’s platform distinguishes itself by combining AI automation with human guidance, allowing brands to benefit from automated content creation, strategy development, and project management while still drawing on the expertise of seasoned professionals.

Holland also elaborated on Averi’s rigorous vetting process for its freelancer network, explaining that less than half a percentage point of applicants are approved. Each freelancer, he shared, is carefully assessed on skills, budget preferences, and time expectations to ensure clients receive top-tier support for their marketing initiatives.

With the new funding, Averi plans to expand its tech stack and strengthen its freelancer network, reinforcing its mission to blend generative AI with human expertise for a streamlined, efficient marketing experience.
