Antwerp-based Wobby, an AI-driven information platform, has raised $1.2 million (€1.1 million) in a seed funding round with contributions from Belgian and international investors, including Shaping Impact Group’s SI3 fund, V-Ventures, and imec.istart. The platform, designed to streamline information access for professionals such as journalists, researchers, and analysts, already serves clients like Roularta and Belga and has pilot users in 73 countries, including a UK pilot program.
Co-founder Nathan Tetroashvili shared that the funding will fuel Wobby’s European expansion and its initial commercial entry into the US. He noted the platform’s cross-sector applicability and stated that the new funds will help accelerate marketing in Europe and establish Wobby’s footprint in the US Tetroashvili added that the company targets $2 million in revenue by the end of next year.
This funding follows Wobby’s invitation last year as the sole non-US startup to join a US government discussion on transparency and open data.
