AI is Transforming Every Industry & NVIDIA is Leading the Charge, Says CEO Jensen Huang

“AI is a new way of computing,” said Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “It’s about creating machines that can write software by itself.” In a recent discussion with Goldman Sachs chairman and CEO David Solomon, Huang provided a glimpse into how NVIDIA is not only participating in the AI revolution but actively driving it forward, with ambitions to reshape industries, spur innovation, and tackle global challenges.

NVIDIA, a pioneer in accelerated computing, is uniquely positioned to power the growth of generative AI, which Huang describes as “one of the most important computers humanity will ever invent.” With a combination of advanced hardware, software, and an evolving AI ecosystem, NVIDIA is empowering enterprises across sectors to adopt and expand AI applications at an unprecedented scale.

“We’re at the very beginning of a new computing era,” he noted, speaking to the vast potential that AI holds for both industry and society.

As he explained: “AI is fundamentally different from traditional computing. We’re teaching computers to recognize patterns, to infer, to understand context.” NVIDIA’s GPUs (graphics processing units), which initially gained fame in the gaming world, are now indispensable tools in the AI field, capable of performing complex calculations that push the boundaries of machine learning and deep learning.

“The transformation we’re seeing now is just the tip of the iceberg,” Huang shared, signaling NVIDIA’s ambition to unlock AI’s full potential.

Huang also describes NVIDIA’s role as one of empowerment: “We’re helping companies become technology companies.” As businesses in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and retail seek to adopt AI, NVIDIA offers not only the hardware but also software frameworks that accelerate innovation. For Huang, this role is critical.

“Our purpose is to make it easy for companies to put AI to work, to build their future on it,” said Huang. This commitment to enabling industries to access and leverage AI capabilities could catalyze a fundamental shift in how companies operate, compete and grow.

But for Huang, AI isn’t just about efficiency or growth; it’s about solving some of humanity’s biggest challenges.

“AI is going to change everything, from healthcare to climate science,” he asserts. Through partnerships with researchers and developers, NVIDIA is applying its AI expertise to fields like climate modeling, cancer research, and sustainable energy. Huang’s vision extends far beyond the commercial applications of AI, pointing instead to the technology’s power to address complex global issues. “The challenges we’re facing today are enormous, but so are the opportunities,” he added.

NVIDIA’s commitment to AI innovation is grounded in an ecosystem that Huang believes will only grow stronger over time.

“When we look at AI today, it’s clear to us that it’s the most important computer we’re building,” he said, conveying both the excitement and responsibility of building foundational technology for the future. The company’s relentless focus on both technological advancement and ethical AI development is central to its mission.

As he reflected on NVIDIA’s journey, Huang’s passion for AI’s transformative potential is unmistakable.

“NVIDIA’s role is to build the tools, the engines, the frameworks for AI,” he said. “Our job is to enable others to imagine what’s possible.” His words resonate with a profound belief in the power of AI to redefine not only industries but also our understanding of what’s achievable. With NVIDIA at the helm, Huang’s vision is clear: a world where AI’s potential knows no bounds, where technology meets humanity’s biggest ambitions, and where the future of computing is being rewritten.
