Reforged Labs has officially launched the open beta of its new ad-creation service designed specifically for mobile game studios. The platform leverages AI to streamline the process of creating video advertisements, which the company claims can otherwise be time-consuming and complex. Central to the platform is the AI Creative Engine, trained on high-performing mobile ads to deliver templates and full-service solutions tailored to smaller studios with limited resources.
The platform offers a selection of ad templates, created through the Creative Engine’s analysis of successful ads. Game developers can upload assets such as gameplay footage, and the AI generates ads following the selected template. These ads include animations, sound effects, text-to-speech voiceovers, human-like avatars, and seamless scene transitions. Additionally, the platform supports localization in over 30 languages, enabling market-ready ads to be produced in as little as 24 hours.
Reforged’s CEO and co-founder Robert Huynh explained to GamesBeat that the Creative Engine acts as an advanced AI brain, analyzing ad creatives in the market to learn their structure and visual elements. Huynh said, “Instead of taking weeks to figure out what kind of ads people want and what to generate, we’ll go out there and do the hard work for you.”
According to Huynh, the service is particularly valuable for small mobile game studios, where ad creation is often handled by one or two people. He emphasized that Reforged’s focus on mobile gaming ads gives it a unique edge. “All of its training and research is based around an understanding of what works within the mobile game advertising sphere,” he said.
Huynh also acknowledged the broader challenges facing the mobile gaming industry, especially in monetization. “All of these small indie game studios want to level up the playing field, because it’s really hard to get attention,” he remarked. He sees Reforged’s AI service as a way to shift the industry toward more personalized and cost-effective ads.
Reforged raised $3.9 million in a seed funding round led by DCM, with additional participation from Y Combinator, Epakon Capital, Goodwater Capital, Phoenix Fund, Asymmetry Ventures, and angel investors. This funding has been instrumental in developing the AI Creative Engine and launching the ad-creation service.
With its innovative approach, Reforged aims to simplify ad production for mobile game developers, enabling them to compete effectively in an increasingly challenging market.
