At the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) recently, Alarm.com introduced its innovative AI Deterrence (AID) automated audio response service, a cutting-edge solution designed to enhance security systems through adaptive crime deterrence. Powered by artificial intelligence, AID delivers tailored verbal warnings to intruders based on their clothing and surroundings, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional live voice response systems.
The system integrates seamlessly with Alarm.com’s camera systems, detecting individuals as they enter a property. Cameras immediately trigger audio alerts and flashing lights, followed by a personalized warning such as, “Hey, you! In the black shirt and blue jeans! You are trespassing. Leave immediately.” This real-time, customized response is designed to deter intruders and prevent potential theft or damage.
Dan Kerzner, President of Platforms Business at Alarm.com, highlighted the transformative potential of AID, stating by saying the company had expanded perimeter defense capabilities to stop crime before it reaches the doorstep and this sophisticated AI technology empowers security providers to deliver real-time adaptive deterrence to a broad market.
AID can function as a standalone solution or integrate with Alarm.com’s Remote Video Monitoring (RVM) Console, allowing operators to assess threats and intervene remotely. Both services are further enhanced by the Outdoor Floodlight Camera (ADC-V729), equipped with 4MP video, Two-Way Talkdown, and 3,000 Lumen floodlights for dynamic response capabilities.
Winner of the 2024 Electronic Security Expo Innovation Award, AID is a testament to Alarm.com’s commitment to advancing security technology. Available across the US and Canada (excluding Quebec), the solution is part of Alarm.com’s ecosystem of AI-driven, professionally installed security products.
