50 Robotics Companies to Watch in 2025[21–25]

The future of robotics continues to inspire, with innovations enhancing safety, efficiency and sustainability. In this edition, we’re diving into companies 21–25, each bringing exciting advancements to the industry.

As always, this list is non-exhaustive.

Let’s begin Part 5, then, featuring companies ranked 21–25 alphabetically:

Part 5: Companies 21–25

21. Gecko Robotics

Gecko Robotics leads the way in AI and Robotics (AIR technology), revolutionizing how critical infrastructure is built, operated, and maintained for a more sustainable and reliable future. By deploying climbing, crawling, swimming, and flying robots alongside fixed sensors, Gecko captures first-order data layers and integrates them with AI-driven insights into a unified platform for the physical world. Their flagship operating system, Cantilever®, powered by AIR technology, enables teams to achieve operational excellence with actionable data for both immediate and long-term planning. The company was founded in 2013 by Jake Loosararian.

22. GrayMatter Robotics

Founded by Ariyan Kabir, Brual Shah, Satyandra Gupta, and Sangam Pant in 2020, GrayMatter Robotics addresses complex surface treatment and finishing challenges faced by high-mix, high-variability manufacturers through advanced robotics and physics-informed AI technologies. The company is transforming manufacturing with its proprietary GMR-AI™, integrated into smart robotic cells that assist humans in repetitive and ergonomically demanding tasks. With a mission to enhance human productivity and improve quality of life, GrayMatter Robotics empowers people through robotic innovation.

23. Hellbender

Hellbender specializes in transitioning advanced technologies from research and development to production, overcoming challenges that often halt smaller firms at the “Valley of Death” in acquisitions. With expertise in sensors, field robotics, and embedded machine learning, it provides cutting-edge, practical solutions for complex technical problems. Its in-house capabilities include prototype and low-rate manufacturing using modern equipment such as SMT pick-and-place lines, robotic work cells, sensor calibration systems, and light machining. These resources support re-shoring domestic manufacturing while aligning with FAR compliance and AS9100D quality standards. Founded in 2021 and led by CEO Brian Beyer, Hellbender’s collaborative approach ensures seamless partnerships, bridging capability gaps and transitioning R&D in sensors and robotics into market-ready products

24. Humanoid

Dedicated to human-centered robotics, Humanoid was founded in 2024 by Artem Sokolov and develops solutions for logistics and industrial automation, boosting efficiency across sectors. Its robots are tailored to fit seamlessly into human workflows. Designed to complement human capabilities, these robots aim to alleviate the burden of repetitive and undesirable work, enabling a shift toward more fulfilling human endeavors. By addressing global labor gaps and supporting productivity in vital industries, this technology aspires to drive societal progress, safeguard human well-being, and pave the way for a future where resources and opportunities are more equitably distributed.

25. Humotech

Humotech develops high-performance robotic prostheses and exoskeletons designed for research, development, rehabilitation, and evaluation. Central to their technology is the Caplex™ system, a programmable, high-performance platform that emulates the real-world physical characteristics of assistive devices. Unlike simulations, Caplex provides users with the physical sensation of wearing different device configurations or modes without the need to switch devices. The system’s off-board robotic components ensure lightweight, wearable prototypes, eliminating the need for users to carry bulky hardware during testing. This approach accelerates innovation by enabling rapid exploration, experimentation, and validation with reduced risk and shorter development cycles. The company was founded by Josh Caputo in 2015.
