LetsData Raises $1.6M Pre-Seed Round to Combat Social Media Manipulation

LetsData, a startup founded by Ksenia Iliuk and Andriy Kusyy, has secured $1.6 million in a pre-seed funding round led by SMOK Ventures. The company specializes in detecting and mitigating information operations on social media, focusing on synthetic identities and other forms of manipulation that pose risks to corporations, governments, and broader democratic systems.

The funding follows an impressive milestone for LetsData, which has already achieved $1 million in annual recurring revenue through its bootstrapped efforts. The company aims to lead the emerging market for information operations (InfoOps) protection software using cutting-edge AI.

SMOK Ventures’ Oleksandr Yatsenko, who spearheaded the investment, described LetsData as a highly capable team positioned to address the growing challenges of disinformation and social media manipulation. Other investors in the round include Wayra, Tilia Impact Ventures, 1991 Ventures, Google for Startups, and Startup Wise Guys.

This funding marks a significant step for LetsData as it works to develop innovative tools for identifying and countering social media threats, positioning itself as a key player in the fight against digital misinformation.
