New York-based AI Web3 security firm Almanax has raised $1 million in funding from investors including Blockchain Builders Fund, Exor Ventures, Vento Ventures, Italian Angels for Growth, Eden Ventures, Moonbase, and a group of angel investors. The funding will support the expansion of its team and the development of its Web3 Security Atlas, an open-source initiative created in partnership with TRM Labs, AnChain.AI, Hypernative, and backed by the Stellar Development Foundation.
Founded in 2024 by Francesco Piccoli, Giorgio Demarchi, and Maxwell Watson, Almanax focuses on addressing security challenges within the Web3 ecosystem. Its flagship platform, ALMX-1, enables engineers to detect vulnerabilities in smart contracts under real-world conditions. The company is also working on ALMX-2, a next-generation model designed to enhance support for multiple programming languages.
Almanax’s solutions aim to strengthen the security infrastructure of decentralized systems, catering to the increasing demand for robust protections in the rapidly evolving Web3 space. The team’s efforts are expected to further empower developers and organizations to mitigate risks and enhance trust in blockchain-based technologies.
