Bevel, the health companion app focused on longevity and performance, has launched AI-powered Nutrition Tracking, integrating blood glucose monitors like Dexcom and Libre to provide real-time insights into dietary impact. This addition completes Bevel’s holistic approach to health, aligning with its existing sleep and exercise tracking features.
Co-founder and CEO Grey Nguyen emphasized that nutrition is one of the most challenging aspects of health to track accurately, noting that the new feature enables users to understand the direct effects of food choices and make informed decisions. Unlike competitors relying solely on large language models (LLMs), Bevel uses a proprietary database of over five million verified food items for precise nutrient tracking.
The Nutrition Tracking tool also assigns personalized meal scores based on blood glucose data, helping users recognize patterns in eating habits and their broader health effects. Co-founder and CTO Ben Yang highlighted Bevel’s commitment to connecting lifestyle choices to health outcomes, reinforcing the app’s role in proactive health management.
Alongside the launch, Bevel secured new funding led by General Catalyst and South Park Commons, supporting its expansion and continued innovation in AI-driven health solutions.
