TELUS Digital is expanding its global AI research footprint with the launch of the TELUS Digital Research Hub at the University of São Paulo (USP) on March 18, 2025. The $1 million investment over three years will support AI-driven customer experience (CX) innovation, positioning São Paulo as a key hub for AI research.
Located within the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CIAAM), the research facility will focus on responsible AI development, integrating academic expertise with industry-driven innovation. Leading researchers and industry experts will collaborate to enhance AI capabilities, including TELUS Digital’s proprietary generative AI platform, Fuel iX™.
USP’s AI research leadership makes it a strategic partner in advancing AI security, automation, and personalization. TELUS Digital’s investment will fund research grants, postdoctoral fellowships, and international scholar programs, further strengthening Brazil’s AI ecosystem. The initiative aligns with TELUS Digital’s global digitization strategy, following prior investments in India and Guatemala.
