Blackwall Closes €45M Series B to Expand AI-Powered Security Infrastructure

Blackwall, formerly known as Botguard, has raised €45 million in a Series B funding round led by Dawn Capital, with participation from existing investor MMC. The investment will fuel global expansion and product development as the company scales its AI-driven security and web infrastructure solutions across North America and APAC.

Co-founded by CEO Nikita Rozenberg and CTO Denis Prochko, Blackwall specializes in safeguarding web ecosystems from automated threats. Its flagship product, GateKeeper, is an advanced reverse proxy designed to protect servers from bots and hackers while optimizing operational costs for Hosting Service Providers (HSPs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). By reducing costs by up to 25% and increasing server capacity, Blackwall enables providers to support millions of small and medium-sized businesses worldwide.

Norman Fiore, General Partner at Dawn Capital, stated that Blackwall’s broad and innovative technology offering makes it uniquely positioned to transform how SMBs access advanced security solutions. He noted that the company has only begun to tap into the vast market opportunity in North America and APAC.

Alongside the funding, Blackwall has appointed Norman Fiore and Shamillah Bankiya from Dawn Capital to its board, with Roi Carthy, Co-Founder and CEO of Hudson Rock, joining as Executive Chairman. Rozenberg emphasized that the rebranding marks a new chapter in the company’s mission to deliver gold-standard security infrastructure for SMBs, ensuring they have access to enterprise-grade protection as they scale globally.
