Nairobi-based logistics technology startup Leta has raised $5 million in seed funding, accelerating its mission to optimize goods transportation across Africa using artificial intelligence. The round was led by Speedinvest, with participation from Google’s Africa Investment Fund and Equator, signaling strong investor confidence in AI-driven supply chain solutions.
Founded in 2021, Leta tackles high logistics costs and inefficiencies, particularly in last-mile delivery. The platform integrates with enterprise systems to optimize fleet management, automating vehicle selection, loading strategies, and dispatch planning. Since its pre-seed round in 2022, Leta has expanded from 500,000 to 4.5 million deliveries, managing 7,400 vehicles across five African countries. The new funding will support further expansion into Africa and the Middle East.
