San Francisco-based Tera AI has raised $7.8 million in seed funding to accelerate the deployment of its AI-driven spatial reasoning system for robots. The round was led by Felicis, Inovia, Caltech + Wilson Hill, and Naval Ravikant, supporting the company’s expansion in both research and product development.
Founded by CEO Tony Zhang, Tera AI is developing a software-only spatial reasoning system that allows robots to navigate environments using just their onboard cameras, eliminating the need for additional sensors or pre-mapped data. The company plans to integrate its platform-agnostic technology into real-world embedded devices later this year, paving the way for more autonomous and adaptable robotic systems.
