Nexthop AI, a Santa Clara-based company building next-generation AI infrastructure for hyperscalers, has launched publicly with $110 million in funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The round includes participation from Kleiner Perkins, WestBridge Capital, Battery Ventures, and Emergent Ventures.
The company is developing custom networking hardware and software designed to meet the growing demands of AI training and inference at cloud-scale. CEO Anshul Sadana said Nexthop AI acts as “a force-multiplier” by working as an extension of cloud providers’ engineering teams. Lightspeed’s Guru Chahal added that Nexthop is filling a critical infrastructure gap as AI reshapes datacenter architecture, positioning itself as a key enabler of global AI deployment.
