InfiniLink Raises $10M to Advance AI-Optimized Optical Connectivity for Data Centers

InfiniLink, an Egyptian semiconductor startup focused on optical connectivity for AI-powered data centers, has secured $10 million in seed funding to scale development of its Silicon Photonics-based chiplets. The round was led by MediaTek and Sukna Ventures, with participation from Egypt Ventures and M Empire Angels.

Founded in 2022, InfiniLink is developing integrated optical transceiver chiplets (iOTC) to address the rising demand for bandwidth and energy efficiency in AI infrastructure. Ahmed Aboul-Ella, Co-founder and CEO, said the funding will support product development and global expansion, adding that the company’s technology significantly reduces power usage while enabling high-speed data transfer.

MediaTek’s George Chien and Sukna Ventures’ Waleed Alballaa praised InfiniLink’s potential to reshape data center efficiency.
