Tective Robotics, a Delft-based startup building autonomous drone networks for automated data acquisition, has secured new funding from Tenzing Alpha and SecFund, the Dutch Ministry of Defence-backed innovation initiative managed by The Brabant Development Agency (BOM). Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2023 by Mattijs Otten, Jeffrey Miog, and Frank van Veelen, Tective develops AI-powered dual-use drone systems that enhance decision-making in defense, agriculture, and emergency response. Its flagship platform, SkyHive, keeps five drones airborne 24/7 via automated battery-swapping, covering 100 square kilometers daily.
Tenzing Alpha said Tective is “transforming situational awareness” through modular drone hubs that merge hardware, software, and real-time intelligence into a fully integrated AI-powered system.
