Moonvalley Receives $43M as It Expands AI Video Platform Marey

Moonvalley, a Los Angeles-based startup building AI tools for video generation, has raised $43 million in new funding, according to a recent SEC filing listing 11 unnamed investors. The announcement comes shortly after the company launched Marey, its first AI video model, developed in partnership with animation studio Asteria.

A Moonvalley spokesperson said the SEC filing “does not dictate the total funding number,” with formal details to follow. Marey offers HD video clips with precise motion controls and emphasizes legal compliance, sourcing licensed training data rather than relying on public datasets. Unlike unfiltered models, Moonvalley is building AI guardrails to prevent misuse, reinforcing its commitment to responsible and creator-conscious generative video tools.
