Wonder, an AI-native creative studio redefining how stories are told and produced, has raised €2.6 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate its mission of empowering the next generation of filmmakers and creators. The round was led by LocalGlobe and Blackbird, with participation from industry figures including Mati Staniszewski (ElevenLabs), Laura Modiano (OpenAI), Ross Dinerstein (Campfire Studios), and Ammaar Reshi (Google DeepMind).
Founded by Xavier Collins and Justin Hackney, Wonder is building a capital-light, AI-first studio model that dramatically reduces the cost of high-quality visual storytelling. Collins said the company aims to remove “financial and logistical barriers” to creativity, while Hackney added that Wonder enables “faster production at scale, global collaboration, and fairer ownership.”
The studio’s platform merges AI tools with traditional cinematic principles, allowing creators to produce visually compelling content at a fraction of the cost and time of legacy pipelines. With AI’s role in entertainment projected to surge, Wonder is positioning itself at the forefront of a shift toward inclusive, scalable, and tech-augmented storytelling.
