Volution, a U.K.-based venture capital firm focused on fintech, AI, and SaaS, has announced the launch of a $100 million fund in partnership with Japan’s SBI Investment Co. Building on its initial $30 million fund, Volution will target startups with proven revenue streams seeking capital to scale.
Managing Partner James Codling said the firm aims to address a structural funding gap for post-Series A companies with strong go-to-market strategies.
Tomoyuki Nii, director at SBI Investment, said the U.K.’s leadership in fintech and AI, combined with its strong academic and regulatory environment, makes it an attractive investment destination.
Volution’s new fund follows previous investments in companies like Signal AI, Flagstone, Cognism, and Zopa Bank.
