Meta has officially launched the Meta AI app, a standalone platform that consolidates the company’s AI tools previously integrated into WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger. Announced at LlamaCon, the app is built on Meta’s latest Llama 4 model and designed to deliver personalized AI interactions through chat and voice.
Meta said the new app offers more relevant responses by drawing on data users have already shared across its ecosystem, including profile details and engagement history.
Available in the U.S. and Canada, the app also introduces a Discover feed, allowing users to share and remix public AI-generated content. Meta described the launch as a foundational step toward building a more personal AI experience.
