AI Talent Platform Dex Announces $3.1M Investment Led by Andreessen Horowitz

London-based startup Dex has raised $3.1 million in pre-seed funding to reinvent the hiring process using AI. Led by Andreessen Horowitz’s Speedrun fund and Concept Ventures, the round includes participation from notable angels such as Meta board member Charlie Songhurst and Deliveroo COO Eric French.

Founded by Paddy Lambros and Harry Uglow, Dex introduces an AI-powered “voice talent agent” that speaks directly with candidates to understand their skills, preferences, and ambitions — automating everything from job search to interview prep. Dex also partners with hiring teams to identify ideal matches through behavioral insight and market data.

The company, currently in closed beta, plans to scale its team and launch publicly in the U.K. later this year.
