FutureHouse, the Eric Schmidt-backed nonprofit focused on building an “AI scientist” within the next decade, has launched its first major product: a platform and API offering AI tools designed to support and scale scientific research.
The new release includes four specialized tools — Crow, Falcon, Owl, and Phoenix — each aimed at enhancing different stages of the scientific process, from literature search to experiment planning. These systems access a vast corpus of open-access research and apply multi-stage reasoning to deliver more transparent and robust outputs.
FutureHouse said its tools are designed to reduce the burden of information overload and improve research efficiency. The organization aims to accelerate discovery in areas like chemistry, biology, and medicine through scalable AI collaboration.
