Jeff Bezos Leads $72M Investment in AI Firm Toloka to Accelerate Human-AI Collaboration

Bezos Expeditions, the investment firm of Jeff Bezos, is leading a $72 million funding round for AI training and evaluation company Toloka, marking a pivotal milestone for the firm’s global expansion. Olga Megorskaya, Toloka’s founder and CEO, emphasized that the capital will fast-track growth in the U.S. market and enhance the company’s human-AI collaboration products, stating that expert human oversight remains essential to ensure AI output quality.

Toloka, part of the Dutch-based Nebius Group, supports companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Anthropic by combining human testers with AI agents. Following Nebius’ separation from Yandex, this funding round grants Toloka greater operational independence while Nebius retains a majority economic stake without voting control.
