Google has announced the launch of the AI Futures Fund, a new initiative aimed at investing in startups developing solutions with Google DeepMind’s latest AI tools. The fund will support companies from seed to late stage, offering early access to DeepMind models, technical collaboration with Google Labs and DeepMind experts, and Google Cloud credits. Select startups may also receive direct capital investment from Google.
Unlike traditional accelerator programs, the AI Futures Fund will evaluate startups on a rolling basis without fixed application deadlines. Google has not disclosed the fund’s size but will tailor investment amounts to each company’s stage and needs. Early participants include Viggle and Toonsutra, with applications opening May 12.
