Google Prepares AI Agent for Software Development Ahead of I/O 2025 Conference

Google is preparing to unveil a suite of AI-driven products at its upcoming I/O developer conference, including an advanced AI agent for software development, according to a report by The Information. Designed to assist engineers through every stage of the software lifecycle, the AI agent will handle tasks such as coding assistance, documentation, and project navigation.

In addition, Google is reportedly planning to showcase Gemini AI’s voice integration with Android XR glasses and headsets, highlighting its push into extended reality interfaces.

As pressure mounts from investors to deliver tangible AI-driven returns, Google aims to solidify its position amid rising competition and regulatory scrutiny. The highly anticipated I/O keynote is scheduled for May 20 in Mountain View, California.
