Unbound Lands $4M Seed Investment to Build Generative AI Protection Solutions

Race Capital led a $4 million seed round for Unbound, joined by Massive Tech Ventures, Y Combinator, Wayfinder Ventures and other angels across three continents. Co-founders Rajaram Srinivasan and Vignesh Subbiah said the funds will expand Unbound’s AI Gateway, deepening model orchestration for open-source LLMs, enhancing governance, sharpening routing and adding ecosystem integrations while hiring in India.

Founded in 2023, Unbound gives security and IT teams real-time protection, usage analytics and policy enforcement, stopping sensitive data leaks as firms deploy Cursor, Roo, Cline or internal copilots securely. Technology and healthcare clients have already rolled out Gemini 2.5 to 100 engineers and blocked hundreds of PII and credential exposures, facing rivals Palo Alto Networks, Netskope, Symantec, Lasso and Aim Security.
