Abridge, the AI-driven medical scribe platform, has raised $300 million in a Series E round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Khosla Ventures, doubling its valuation to $5.3 billion just four months after its previous raise. The funding follows February’s $250 million round at a $2.75 billion valuation.
Founded by cardiologist Shiv Rao, Abridge leads the AI medical documentation space, with deep integration into Epic Systems and a footprint across over 150 U.S. health systems. The company is now expanding into AI-powered medical coding, entering direct competition with platforms like CodaMetrix. Abridge reported $117 million in contracted ARR in Q1 2025.
