Google has unveiled Doppl, a new experimental mobile app that uses generative AI to let users visualize how clothes will look on a digital version of themselves. Now available on iOS and Android in the U.S., the app enables users to upload a full-body photo and virtually try on outfits sourced from photos, screenshots, or social media images.
Doppl can generate both static visuals and AI-driven videos of users wearing the selected clothing, offering a realistic preview of how garments might fit and move. As part of Google Labs, the app builds on Google Shopping’s virtual try-on tools, aiming to make personalized style exploration more interactive while informing future AI applications in retail.
