Moonvalley Launches Marey: A “3D-Aware” AI Video Generator Built for Filmmakers

Los Angeles-based AI startup Moonvalley has released Marey, its proprietary 3D-aware video generation model, to the public via a credit-based subscription platform. Built by former DeepMind researchers, Marey emphasizes creator control over generative output, offering an alternative to traditional text-to-video systems.

Trained entirely on openly licensed data, Marey is designed for filmmakers seeking precision and legality in their AI tools. Users can generate five-second clips with advanced control over scene composition, camera movement, motion dynamics, and object interaction.

Moonvalley, which recently acquired production studio Asteria (formerly XTR), aims to democratize filmmaking by cutting costs and streamlining pre- and post-production. With real-world physics modeling and near-360° camera capabilities, Marey enters a competitive space alongside Runway, Pika, and Google’s Veo.
