XPANCEO Announces $250M Series A to Launch AI-Powered Smart Contact Lens, Hits $1.35B Valuation

Deep tech innovator XPANCEO has secured $250 million in a Series A round led by Opportunity Venture (Asia), propelling the company to unicorn status with a valuation of $1.35 billion. The funding will accelerate development of the world’s first all-in-one smart contact lens, designed to replace traditional devices with a seamless AI-powered extended reality interface.

Founded by Roman Axelrod and Dr. Valentyn S. Volkov, XPANCEO has built 15 functional prototypes integrating AR vision, biometric health monitoring, wireless data transfer, and real-time AI computing. Backed by major scientific partnerships and over 100 team members, the company is positioning its smart lens as the next leap in personal computing, aiming to lead the post-smartphone era.
