AWS to Launch AI Agent Marketplace with Anthropic as Key Partner

Amazon Web Services is set to unveil a dedicated AI agent marketplace at the AWS Summit in New York City on July 15, with Anthropic among its initial partners. The new platform will allow startups to distribute AI agents directly to AWS customers, offering enterprises a centralized hub to browse, install, and customize agents based on specific operational needs.

AI agents — autonomous programs powered by AI models — have become a focus for industry giants like OpenAI and Anthropic. AWS’s marketplace aims to solve distribution fragmentation by providing developers a scalable channel to reach enterprise clients.

The initiative also deepens AWS’s collaboration with Anthropic, which is backed by Amazon and positioned to expand its agent-based API adoption through the marketplace.
