Apple Tests AI-Powered Siri Capable of Executing Multi-App Voice Commands

Apple is testing an advanced version of Siri that can perform complex actions across multiple apps using only voice commands, according to Bloomberg. Powered by an updated App Intents framework, the new system would enable users to search for, edit, and share photos; post on social platforms; log into services; or complete transactions entirely through spoken requests.

The feature is reportedly being trialed with apps including Uber, AllTrails, Threads, Temu, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. While Apple showcased an “intelligent Siri” in 2024, the enhanced version is still in development, with a wider rollout expected alongside a planned Siri overhaul in spring 2026. The update underscores Apple’s push to integrate AI more deeply into its ecosystem.
