Yamify, a Democratic Republic of Congo–based startup founded by Luc Okalobé, has raised $100,000 in pre-seed funding from Felix Anane, an early investor in Paystack, to accelerate the rollout of its flagship AI infrastructure platform. The company is also seeking an additional $100,000 to close the round.
The investment will support the launch of Yamify’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), which enables users to provision AI tools instantly through a chat interface, reducing deployment from days to minutes. Targeting freelancers, startups, and agencies, Yamify offers one-click access to open-source AI applications hosted on GPU clusters in Nigeria, Congo, and South Africa, with billing in local currencies.
Positioned as an “app store” for AI with integrated compute, Yamify aims to lower barriers to adoption and drive Africa’s AI ecosystem forward.
