Koah, a startup founded by Nic Baird, has raised $5 million in seed funding to bring advertising to consumer AI applications. The round was led by Forerunner, with participation from South Park Commons and AppLovin co-founder Andrew Karam.
Koah is developing an ad platform designed specifically for AI chats, enabling developers to monetize apps that may struggle to scale through subscriptions. Its system delivers contextually relevant sponsored content, already running in apps such as Luzia, Heal, Liner, and DeepAI, with advertisers including UpWork, General Medicine, and Skillshare.
With early partners reporting strong returns, Koah aims to position itself as the monetization layer for consumer AI, addressing one of the industry’s most pressing challenges.
