Metal, a New York–based startup applying AI to private market investing, has raised $5M in seed funding led by Base10 Partners. The company is developing an AI operating system designed to turn fragmented firm data into a living intelligence platform that strengthens investment decision-making.
Private market investors often face challenges managing information scattered across CRMs, research platforms, and file repositories. Metal’s system consolidates this data to institutionalize firm knowledge, transforming years of investment history into actionable insights.
The platform is already in use by leading firms including Berkshire Partners, Clearlake Capital, and Blue Wolf Capital, with measurable gains in deal flow and efficiency. The new funding will support team expansion, product development, and deeper integration into live deal processes.
