Google Expands Affordable AI Plus Plan to Over 40 Countries

Google has rolled out its AI Plus subscription plan to more than 40 countries, extending access to advanced AI tools at a lower price point. Initially introduced in Indonesia earlier this month, the plan is priced at around $5 per month, with a 50% discount for six months in select markets such as Nepal and Mexico.

Subscribers gain access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, creative tools for image and video generation including Flow, Whisk, and Veo 3 Fast, expanded features in NotebookLM, AI integration across Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, and 200GB of cloud storage.

The expansion highlights Google’s effort to make premium AI capabilities more accessible globally, directly competing with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go plan launched this week.
