Salesforce Announces $1B Investment to Expand AI Operations in Mexico

Salesforce, the world’s leading AI-powered CRM, has announced a $1 billion investment in Mexico over the next five years to accelerate the country’s transformation into a regional hub for AI-driven enterprise innovation. The investment will fund a new state-of-the-art office in Mexico City, expand operations through a Global Delivery Center (GDC), and support large-scale workforce development and AI training initiatives.

The announcement underscores Salesforce’s commitment to strengthening Mexico’s role in Latin America’s digital economy. Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, highlighted Mexico as a key growth market and innovation hub for the company’s Agentforce platform, designed to enable “Agentic Enterprises” where humans and AI agents collaborate to enhance productivity and customer success.

Mexico’s Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard praised the investment as a major vote of confidence in the nation’s economy and talent base, noting that it will create jobs, build AI skills, and position Mexico as a leading consultancy center for AI transformation across Latin America.

Salesforce’s new five-story office in Polanco will house up to 2,000 employees and serve as a regional innovation hub. The Global Delivery Center will provide multilingual consulting services to customers across the Americas, including leading organizations such as Globo, Grupo Falabella, and Protección.

The $1 billion expansion reinforces Salesforce’s long-term presence in Mexico, which began in 2006, and its goal of helping enterprises across the region embrace the next era of AI-powered growth and digital transformation.
