Johnson & Johnson MedTech has announced key milestones for its Polyphonic™ AI Fund for Surgery, a global initiative supporting artificial intelligence solutions designed to enhance surgical care. The first QuickFire Challengeawardees — Mayo Clinic and QAS.AI — will receive funding, mentorship, and access to computing tools to advance their work on AI-powered surgical precision and post-operative insights.
Launched in June and supported by partners including NVIDIA and Amazon Web Services, the Polyphonic AI Fund mobilizes open collaboration to bring secure, responsible AI into operating rooms worldwide. The program’s inaugural call for innovation drew submissions from 29 countries focused on improving surgical decision-making and outcomes. A second QuickFire Challenge round opens this month as Johnson & Johnson MedTech continues building a global community advancing AI for the future of surgery.
