OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Says Revenue Surpasses $13B as Partnership with Microsoft Deepens

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman revealed that the company’s annual revenue is now “well more” than $13 billion, signaling rapid growth amid heavy infrastructure investment. Speaking alongside Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on the Bg2podcast hosted by Brad Gerstner of Altimeter Capital, Altman addressed questions about OpenAI’s ability to fund its trillion-dollar compute commitments. He said that revenue continues to rise steeply and that OpenAI is positioning itself as a major AI cloud provider while expanding into consumer devices and AI-driven scientific automation.

Nadella noted that OpenAI has outperformed every business plan shared with Microsoft. Altman downplayed speculation of an imminent IPO, saying the company has no specific plans but expects it will eventually happen.
