London-based AR/VR startup Gracia AI has secured £1.3 million in funding to advance its 4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS) pipeline toward production-ready volumetric video for XR creators, filmmakers, advertisers, and VFX studios.
The capital will be used to expand engineering capacity and accelerate tools for capture, editing, and real-time playback across standalone headsets and modern browsers.
Founded by Andrey Volodin (CTO) and Georgii Vysotskii (Co-founder), Gracia is focused on overcoming long-standing barriers in volumetric video, including performance, motion fidelity, and tooling. Its 4DGS approach enables real-time playback on untethered headsets, supporting smoother motion and reduced artefacts suitable for film, sport, and live events.
The round included backing from EWOR and an early pioneer of NeRF technology, positioning Gracia to move volumetric video from experimental demos into commercial XR workflows.
